Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muaythai fighter from Peru as well as a mixed martial arts artist fighting for UFC. UFC at the flyweight division, is currently an Kyrgyzstani. She is the younger sister of fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko first began combat sports as a Muay Thai kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut in the IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals via a majority decision. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after winning a silver and bronze medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, as well as a Gold medal in the year 2011, as well as the year-end 2016 IFMA amateur Muay Thai world champion. Antonina bounced back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the prize of the night in the fight. Shevchenko was 2-2 in her three subsequent matches she won against Ariane Lipski while falling to Katlyn Clarkagian as well as Andrea Lee.
