Steven Tyler
The band toured Boston's club circuit and was led by Frank Connelly their first manager. The band then began to collaborate with Steve Leber, David Krebs, New York managers. They then signed a recording contract in 1972, and then released their debut album titled "Eponymous" in 1973. It was later followed by Get Your Wings, Toys in the Attic, Rocks, and Draw the Line, which catapulted Aerosmith to fame internationally and recognition. These albums produced famous songs like "Dream On", "Walk This Way" and "Sweet Emotion". Aerosmith's five first albums all sold multi-platinum. Toys in the Attic and Rocks were also multi-platinum. But as the decade wore on the fast-paced lifestyle of touring, recording living in a house, and using substances began to take its toll on the band. Due to their famed use of heroin and stimulants, Tyler and Perry were identified as the Toxic Twins. Aerosmith Behind the Music and many video releases of Aerosmith reveal their relationship. Tyler was more committed to the group and appeared to be averse to Perry's passive approach. Perry, however, was jealous of Tyler's choice for females she dated. Aerosmith was declining in the 1980s due to tensions between Perry and Tyler.
